This bus was purchased AC Transit of Oakland. This was an unusual bus, and I had to have it because so few were made i.e. very few 35-foot buses were made with wide bodies (102 inches).

More on #423

The only major problem I had was a blower change out, and the bus ran for more than 20 years in the collection with no problems other than routine maintenance.

When and Where Did it Go?

I sold the bus to Movie Production in Santa Barbara, and it was used in a few short movies. The production studio sold #423 to Scott Crosby, AKA the Bus Grease Monkey in YouTube lore. This bus actually was what started his love for GM buses. It apparently had an engine failure of which he repaired after teaching himself to do the work. I am not sure what happened to the  bus beyond that.
